New Mini Hen sewing kit instruction booklet finished.

This little instruction booklet accompanies your Mini Hen Sewing Kit. The pattern is adapted from one of my mother’s original designs, discovered in the treasure trove of her sewing cupboard. She created these charming hens in the 1940s while convalescing from illness, and it’s a joy to bring them back to life for you today.

Inside, you’ll find twenty‑nine full‑colour pages of clear, step‑by‑step guidance, including three pages dedicated to embroidery stitches. Everything is designed to help you enjoy a gentle, creative make, just as she once did. Below are some snippets from the new booklet.

    Using a hairdryer on hot to remove the fabric marker pen marks still visible on the felt.

  • The Panda Felt Wall Flag is made from 100% wool felt. A little red butterfly has landed on the panda’s nose. That must be tickly.

    The Polar Bear Felt Wall Flag is made from 100% wool felt. There is a splendid red bow-tie at it’s chin.

    The Foxy Fox Felt Wall Flag is made from 100% wool felt from a UK supplier. The chest is embroidered with big white daisy flowers and a little blue butterfly has landed on one of the flowers
